Two Chatham people face charges and police recovered more than $50,000 in stolen goods recently.
The investigation began Jan. 2, when police responded to a break and enter at a business on Talbot Trail in Harwich Township, where a pick-up truck had been stolen. Later that day, the pick-up truck was recovered on King Street in Chatham.
Through investigation, officers identified the man and woman involved and a warrant was issued for their arrest.
Last Thursday, after both individuals were arrested, police continued to investigate, and it resulted in two separate searches and the recovery of approximately $52,500 worth of tools.
The tools were connected to two separate investigations: Jan. 31 on Erie Street North in Ridgetown and Feb. 26 on Richmond Street in Chatham.
A 42-year-old Chatham man is charged with break and enter, possession of stolen property and failing to comply with a probation order.
A 40-year-old woman is charged with possession of stolen property and break and enter.
