A vehicle stolen more than a decade ago was found on the weekend – at the bottom of the Sydenham River in Wallaceburg.

On Saturday afternoon, an angler out on the water in his boat was testing a fish finder, police say. What he found was a vehicle that appeared to be on its roof near the docks at Wallace and Huron streets in Wallaceburg.

The boater called Chatham-Kent police and showed them what was on his view screen. Officers then called the OPP dive team to further investigate.

The vehicle was found unoccupied and reported stolen from Sombra in 2010.
