Criminal charge info released for Friday’s gun incident in Blenheim

Chatham-Kent police have released more details of the weapons incident in Blenheim Friday that them close off several roads before arresting a local man.

Police closed the roads Friday morning before making the arrest at the Hannibal Street residence.

A 45-year-old Blenheim man is charged with pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, two counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm, two counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm knowing the possession is unauthorized, and two counts of careless storage of a firearm.

After the arrest, police searched the residence armed with a warrant and seized a rifle and a shotgun.
