A weapons incident on Hannibal Street in Blenheim Friday was resolved peacefully.
According to a media release from the Chatham-Kent Police Service, officers were called to a residence shortly after 7 a.m. Officers negotiated with the man, ultimately taking him into custody.
The incident required the deployment of specialized units and resources, police said, including the Critical Incident Response Team, the canine unit, the Criminal Investigation Branch, drones and the new armoured rescue vehicle.
The investigation is ongoing.
