A Blenheim man faces charges after someone flattened the tires of a Chatham-Kent police cruiser and then broke into the LCBO in Blenheim Wednesday evening.

Police say someone punctured all four tires of a police vehicle about 6:45 p.m. Wednesday outside the Blenheim Service Centre on Talbot Street in that community.

Less than 10 minutes later, police responded to an alarm at the LCBO on Marlborough Street a short distance away.

Video surveillance assisted officers in identifying the man, police say.

By 7:30 p.m., police had a suspect in custody.

A 43-year-old Blenheim man is charged with mischief, break and enter and theft.
