Editor: Being new in Chatham, I was so surprised, or should I say rather shocked, to see so many vehicles on the road with the license plates almost invisible.
They are so rusty or covered with mud hiding the entire plate.
It is as if driving a vehicle without the numbered plate.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t it against the law to drive a vehicle without the plate?
It simply boils down to that. If there is a hit and run incident, how could one identify the vehicle? Just confused.
