One teenager is dead and three more are in hospital following a crash on Allison Line between Charing Cross Road and Erieau Road Thursday evening.
The single-vehicle crash took place around 9:45 p.m., according to Chatham-Kent police.
Emergency responders located the vehicle with four occupants. Preliminary findings indicate the vehicle was heading northeast on Allison Line when the driver lost control. The vehicle rolled several times before coming to rest on its roof.
A 16-year-old girl and two 17-year-old girls were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A 17-year-old girl was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing, and the name of the deceased will not be released at this time out of respect for the family’s privacy, police say.
