An Essex man faces child luring charges here in Chatham-Kent.
Earlier in November, Chatham-Kent police say officers from the Internet Child Exploitation Unit opened an investigation in regard to a man attempting to lure a child via social media “for a sexual purpose.”
On Nov. 16, police executed a warrant at the man’s residence, where he was arrested.
A 65-year-old Essex man faces charges.
Police say they’ve identified the victim, who has been offered support.
Police note there is a publication ban in place on the matter, which limits the amount of information that can be released.
