Editor: I read recently in The Voice about concerned citizens discussing homeless encampments, fires, litter, and public spaces used as toilets. I never once read about someone offering a solution to help these people.
It’s cold, and businesses refuse access for their restrooms, assuming the worst if they oblige.
Not every homeless person is a drug user or criminal or even mentally ill. Some are people struggling with the rising cost of rent and food.
Be kind, offer help.
These are people.
