Stolen vehicle recovered, man charged

A Sarnia man has to answer to charges for stealing a vehicle after it was discovered Monday morning in Chatham.

Chatham-Kent police say they found a vehicle about 9 a.m. at a Chatham-Kent Health Alliance parking lot, after the vehicle had been reported stolen in Sarnia.

Police had used the GPS tracking on the vehicle to locate it. From there, they checked the surveillance video from CKHA cameras to identify the person who parked it and walked away.

They were later able to identify the accused and locate him within the hospital.

A 33-year-old Sarnia man was arrested for possession of stolen property.
