Perhaps it should be called Ticket-giving Weekend rather than Thanksgiving Weekend, judging by all the moving violations doled out by the OPP in Chatham-Kent recently.
On Monday alone, OPP officers laid 10 charges against five drivers, including speeding, driving while under suspension, driving without insurance, using license plates not authorized for the vehicle, and speeding.
A day earlier, two more people faced charges for speeding, including one for stunt driving.
Saturday saw two drivers clocked doing at least 55 km/h over the posted speed limit, resulting in two additional stunt-driving charges.
Thursday also saw two more speed freaks see their cars towed, as a pair of Toronto residents received tickets for stunt driving.
