Alarm blaring, man arrested

One man faces multiple charges following a break-in on the weekend at a property on Wellington Street.

When Chatham-Kent police arrived, officers noticed a broken window. They searched inside and found a man who didn’t belong.

A check found the man was on probation for similar incidents.

A 33-year-old man faces charges of break and enter, mischief, and breach of probation.

Tobacco stolen from barn

Chatham-Kent police say someone removed tobacco from a barn in which it was drying recently.

Noisy Saturday

Chatham-Kent police received numerous complaints on Saturday over a man in the Wallace Street area of Wallaceburg.

The male was eventually arrested for breach of the peace and taken to Chatham-Kent headquarters and lodged until sober for the safety of the public.
