No one was injured following a fire at MSSC Chatham on Park Avenue West on Sunday.
Chatham-Kent Fire & Rescue crews got the call shortly before 4 p.m. of a stack fire above the furnace.
Firefighters battled the oil fire using dry chemical extinguishers, officials said, in extreme heat conditions.
EMS crews were on scene assisting with firefighter safety, as crews rotated in and out to rehab from the heat.
The firefighting effort worked, as the stack cooled back to safe levels.
Damage is estimated at $15,000, and no one was injured due to the fire.
