A Chatham woman has to answer to charges after someone reportedly stole a large amount of money at gunpoint Sunday night.
Chatham-Kent police say they were notified about 11:10 p.m.
Through investigation, police learned a woman stole only what they would described as “a large amount of money” from the victim while threatening them with a firearm.
Officers attended the woman’s residence, set up containment and detained her without incident. A replica handgun was seized, and the money was recovered.
A 37-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and charged with dangerous weapons and robbery.
