Two Chatham-Kent police officers were in a marked cruiser doing a property check at the rear of a local business on St. Clair Street in Chatham on the weekend when someone came at them with a knife.
Police say a man, sporting a large knife, came at the cruiser, and started banging on the windows.
The officers backed up the cruiser to get some distance, got out and were able to make an arrest.
Police say the man is currently before the courts on several charges from a different jurisdiction.
