Chatham-Kent Fire crews work to quickly extinguish a garage fire on Princess Street in Chatham Tuesday afternoon.
According to Chatham-Kent Fire officials, when crews arrived on scene, the garage was fully involved, with flames spreading across the grass and to a neighbour’s fence.
Firefighters were able to quickly contain the fire and stop further damage to neighbouring properties.
The garage and contents were destroyed, however, with an estimated value of $10,000.
Damage to neighbouring property was estimated at $5,000.
No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
The cause is undetermined.
