Theatre Kent would like to announce it spring season offering of one of history’s greatest comedic plays. “You Can’t Take it With You,” by Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman.
The play is a zany message about living life to the fullest, as two vastly different families come together.
“You Can’t Take It With You is a madcap, idealistic comedy that reinforces the idea that you can only live life to the fullest by doing whatever makes you happy,” Theatre Kent’s Eric Bristow, the play’s producer, said in a media release.
Theatre Kent’s president Tony Erdelyi has pulled together a team of veteran and newcomer actors to stage this play.
This show promises to wow the audience with elaborate costumes and wacky set pieces, Theatre Kent officials said.
Opening night is May 12 at the Kiwanis Theatre. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. There is also a 2:30 p.m. matinee and evening show on May 13.
