Camlachie woman facing charges
A Camlachie woman earned a set of handcuffs on Wednesday.
Police say officers responded to a domestic dispute call shortly after 5 a.m. Wednesday on Grand Avenue East in Chatham. Through investigation, police say the officers formed grounds to arrest a 27-year-old Camlachie woman for assault, mischief and theft.
More than five hours later, officers found the woman at an address in Wallaceburg where she was arrested without incident.
He just didn’t listen
Chatham-Kent police say a Wallaceburg has to answer to charges after he did not comply with a court order.
In early February, the man was arrested for uttering threats and mischief. He was subsequently released on an undertaking with multiple conditions, one of which prohibited him from attending the victim’s residence.
Yet, on Wednesday, shortly after noon, police say the man went to the victim’s residence. Police arrived on scene a short time later and located the man in the backyard of the property.
A 36-year-old Wallaceburg man is charged with failing to comply.
Court skipper arrested
Wednesday morning, police located a 38-year-old man at a residence in Thamesville wanted on several warrants for failing to attend court.
The man was subsequently arrested on the strength of these warrants and transported to police headquarters where he was held pending a bail hearing.
