Skipped court date, eventually
On Sept. 8 of last year, a woman was arrested and charged with theft and possessing stolen property due to a shoplifting investigation.
The woman was released with a court date of Sept. 19, but did not show up. A warrant was issued for her arrest.
On Wednesday just before 1 p.m., police say the 28-year-old Chatham woman was located on McNaughton Avenue in Chatham and arrested.
She was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.
Breach of probation, eventually
On Aug. 26 of last year, police completed a Breach of Probation investigation, resulting in a warrant being issued for the man’s arrest.
Nearly eight months later, on Wednesday, police located the man on Elgin Street in Wallaceburg.
A 32-year-old Chatham-Kent man was arrested and released with a future court date.
