A man of no fixed address has a lot to answer for following a crash on Highway 401 on Tuesday afternoon.

The OPP received multiple complaints about a passenger vehicle that was headed eastbound on the 401. Shortly after receiving the complaints, police received an update that the vehicle had left the road and crashed near the Mull Road overpass.

When officers arrived on scene, the driver was displaying signs of impairment, police say, and was taken into custody. Additionally, investigators determined the involved vehicle had previously been reported stolen.

A 27-year-old man of no fixed address is charged with possession of stolen property, impaired driving, mischief, driving without a licence and driving with an open container of liquor.
