A Tilbury woman faces serious charges after someone apparently attacked a man with a knife recently.
Chatham-Kent police say that on Saturday, shortly after 5 p.m., they responded to a domestic disturbance on Mill Street in Tilbury.
Upon arrival, police located a man who had sustained severe injuries and was receiving assistance from concerned citizens. The man was transported to hospital for medical attention.
Through investigation, police learned the man and the woman engaged in a verbal argument that escalated when the woman threatened the man with a knife. A physical altercation ensued, resulting in injury to the man.
A 20-year-old Tilbury woman was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. She was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing. The woman was remanded into custody until a future court date.
