If you live in the Tilbury area and you are still without power, the municipality has opened a place for you to get warm.
The Tilbury Arena will be open to residents impacted by power outages. It will remain open as a warming centre until midnight, officials said.
Chatham-Kent staff will continue to assess the situation as the evening progresses and take any additional steps needed to ensure the safety of local residents, officials said.
“We are confident that our hydro partners are doing everything they can and will continue restoration efforts throughout the evening and into tomorrow,” officials said in a media release.
