The support for local musician Jesse Verleye continues to pour in.

Chatham’s Rawkin’ RoyalT in Chatham is extending the period to accept donations for Verleye at the bar to Feb. 13. The funds are earmarked to help the 49-year-old musician, who was seriously injured in a head-on crash Jan. 31.

A Windsor man died in the collision on Queen’s Line and Verleye sustained extensive injuries. He currently remains in hospital in Windsor.

Rawkin’ RoyalT co-owner Ki Larsen said the bar is also donating a portion of its wing sales this week.

Larsen said he and co-owner and partner Kellie Higgins wants to help his fellow musician, co-worker and friend of 36 years.
