Antique shotguns stolen  

Wednesday afternoon, just after 2 p.m., Chatham-Kent police responded to a break and enter that had occurred at an address on Tenth Line. Someone had recently entered the residence and stole several items, including a three chainsaws, a high-powered crossbow and three antique shotguns. 

The suspect(s) also stole the victims’ 2022 Ford F-150. 

Through investigation, the vehicle was located a short distance away unoccupied. The stolen items were still outstanding and are valued at approximately $13,000.

Copper thieves severely damaged a home in Chatham recently.

On Wednesday evening, police responded to the reports of a break and enter at a residence on Sandy Street in Chatham. The residence was currently being renovated, and sometime over the last week someone made entry. 

The house was stripped of copper wire and numerous tools were stolen. 

The suspect(s) also cut the copper pipes to the hot water tank, causing flooding. Damage is estimated at approximately $40,000.

Motorcycle stolen in Chatham

Wednesday, at approximately 4 p.m., police responded to an address on Joseph Street in Chatham in regard to a motorcycle being stolen from a driveway. 

Someone stole a red Honda Enduro motorcycle with license plate 3N6F9 at the time.
