One Chatham youth is dead and another in custody following a disturbance Friday night.
Chatham-Kent police say they got the call about 10:45 p.m. to attend an address on Richmond Street in regard to a disturbance.
Officer found a male youth with serious injuries and he was taken to hospital, where, despite life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead.
Through investigation, a male youth was identified, arrested and charged with second-degree murder.
He was remanded into custody with a future court date.
Due to the ages of the parties involved there will be no further information released at this time.
This is an isolated incident and there is no concern for public safety, police say.
