COVID numbers seem to be on the rise in Chatham-Kent.

For the past week, the average daily number of new cases reported through PCR testing – which is only available to folks in high-risk health categories – reached 11, up from nine the previous week. CK Public Health officials stressed the actual number of COVID-19 cases in the municipality is very likely much higher, due to the limited access to the Assessment Centre’s PCR testing.

As well, there are two new areas of outbreak this week. They include a group home setting, as well as Wallaceburg Retirement Residence. The two join another group home as the three areas listed in current COVID-19 outbreak by CK Public Health.
