Chamber announces its award winners

The results are in and the winners of the Chatham-Kent Chamber of Commerce 134th Business Excellence Awards have been announced.

Anne Coulter has been named the Chamber’s Citizen of the Year, while the Corporate Citizen of the Year goes to Four Diamond Events owner Lisa Lester-Evers.

Chatham-based Maple City Homes has garnered the Business of the Year Award (Medium), and Maple City Homes co-owner Robb Nelson has been named Entrepreneur of the Year.

The award for Small Business of the Year goes to Mallory Law in Blenheim, owned by Jason Mallory.

In the youth category Tiffany Cunningham, owner of Prem in Chatham, has claimed the Young Business Individual of the Year, while the Young Entrepreneur of the Year award goes to Curtis Lemieux, owner of Willy’s 420 Supplies in Chatham.

Ohana Ice founder Maria Whittal has been named Youth Entrepreneur of the Year.

A special celebration marking the awards will be held Wed. Oct 19, at the John D. Bradley Convention Centre in Chatham.

A reception will begin at 6 p.m. followed by a dinner and awards ceremony at 7 p.m. Tickets are $115 each are can be purchased at www.chatham-kenthchamber.ca.
