Knife pulled in neighbours’ dispute
A disagreement turned nasty on Wednesday evening when people were threatened at knifepoint.
Shortly after 6 p.m., Chatham-Kent police responded to an address on George Street in Ridgetown in regards to a neighbour dispute.
Through investigation, it was revealed that a woman had approached a group of people and presented a knife while threatening them, police say.
The woman then began to pick up pieces of asphalt and started throwing them at two separate vehicles. She then threw another piece at the door of a residence, causing damage.
After damaging the vehicles and the residence, the female then approached a victim and head-butted them, causing an injury, police say.
Officers located a 38-year-old Ridgetown woman shortly afterwards. She was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon, uttering threats, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, assault, and three counts of mischief.
While at the police station, during the booking process, police say the accused spit on an officer and further began to kick them as she was being escorted to her cell.
She was also charged with assaulting a peace officer.
B&E in Chatham
Apparently it’s not enough for some people to just steal.
Sometime between Aug. 13 and Aug. 31, someone kicked in a door to a vacant residence on Victoria Avenue.
Once inside, the suspects removed cooper wiring and plumbing.
Also stolen were the washer and dryer.
Prior to leaving, the suspects left the water running inside, causing $15,000 in damage.

B&E at Wheatley Arena
Early Wednesday morning, officers attended the Wheatley arena in regards to a break and enter.
Unknown suspects entered the arena by prying open a door. It is unknown if anything was taken at this time.

Theft arrest
On Wednesday, an officer on general patrol located a female on Centre Street in Chatham.
Through investigation, it was revealed that the female was wanted in connection with the theft of a bicycle from Wal-Mart the week prior.
The Chatham woman was arrested for theft and possession of stolen property and failing to comply with her release order.
Domestic charges
Wednesday afternoon, just after 2:30 p.m., officers attended an address on Wallace Street in Wallaceburg in regards to a male party that had a warrant for his arrest.
Officers entered the apartment and began a search for the male. He was located hiding in a closet underneath a pile of clothes.
A 32-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested and charged with assault causing bodily harm.
Stolen vehicle recovered
On Wednesday afternoon, police received information that a suspect was in possession of a stolen pickup truck in the Tecumseh Park area.
Officer attended and located a stolen Dodge Ram that had been taken from an address on Glenwood Drive last week.
The suspect was not located and there are currently no grounds for charges.
Warrant arrest
On Wednesday evening at approximately 7:15 p.m., police located a female on Holden Street in Dresden that had an outstanding warrant.
The Dresden woman was arrested and charged with break and enter, commit theft and failing to comply with her release order.
