COVID-19 numbers, especially the number of people hospitalized at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, remain low locally.
As of Wednesday morning, five C-K residents were in hospital here primarily due to COVID-19, and none of the five were in the ICU.
However, officials report there are 14 other people in hospital who happen to have COVID-19, but the virus is not the primary reason for their stay. One of those patients is in the ICU.
Chatham-Kent has five areas of outbreak, including the CKHA’s medicine unit, three seniors’ facilities and a group home.
In terms of vaccinations, 49,241 residents have three doses of the vaccine, while 81,707 have two doses, and 85,121 have been jabbed at least once.
