Two drug raids, seven arrests
Wednesday was a busy day for Chatham-Kent police as they executed a pair of drug raids and made seven arrests.
Both raids were in Chatham, with the first resulting in the seizure of cocaine, cash, scales, and multiple cellphones. The estimated street value of the seized cocaine is approximately $20,000.
A 31-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, and two counts of failing to comply with release order.
Three Chatham women, 51, 23, and 50, and Raleigh Township man, 24, are charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine.
As a result of the second search, fentanyl, scales and multiple cellphones were located and seized.
The estimated street value of the seized fentanyl is approximately $1,800.
A Chatham man, 30, and a woman, 21, are charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl.
