Two charged for B&Es

Shortly before 11 p.m. last night, Chatham-Kent police were alerted to suspicious activity at a business on McGregor Place in Chatham.

People were observed removing items from a business and transporting them to another location a short distance away.

Police attended and located two men and a woman. Police also recovered the property.

A 26-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested for break and enter, possession of stolen property and other outstanding charges.

A second man, a 44-year-old Chatham man, was arrested for break and enter and possession of stolen

The woman was released unconditionally.

Three women arrested for theft

Early yesterday evening, police were called to Superstore on St. Clair Street in Chatham for a theft investigation.

Police attended and learned the individuals had left the area.

Security personal provided information that allowed police to locate the individuals a short time later.

A 50-year-old Dover Township woman, a 24-year-old Wallaceburg woman and a 32-year-old Wallaceburg woman were arrested with one count of theft and possession of stolen property.

Theft

Early yesterday afternoon, police responded to a suspicious person complaint at a local business on Colborne Street in Chatham.

Police attended and located the person inside the store.

The 37-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and charged with theft, possession of stolen property and breach of probation.

She was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Conditions breach

In mid-January, the woman was released from a previous arrest with conditions.

On Monday, police conducted a traffic stop and though investigation learned the 45-year-old Wallaceburg woman was not abiding by her release conditions.

She was arrested and held in custody pending a bail hearing.
