Truck stolen in Wheatley

Sometime between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. Friday morning, a 2017 grey Ford F-250 pick-up truck along with a silver 16-foot enclosed trailer was stolen from a residence on Talbot Trail in Wheatley.

The trailer contained a 2018 John Deere compact tracker with a snow blower attachment.

The truck was last seen with Ontario license plates 6811LM.

The trailer was last seen with Ontario license plate M3357H.

Total value of the theft has been estimated at $95,000

Vehicle burns near Merlin

Around 4:30 a.m. this morning, emergency personnel responded to an abandoned vehicle on fire in a ditch on Merlin Road near Ninth Line.

The vehicle sustained extensive damage and was towed from the scene as the incident remains under investigation.
