Editor: This is in response to Merle Knutson’s letter “What happened to freedom of choice.”
We have had in the past and still have freedom of choice. In the situation of whether to vaccinate for the COVID-19 virus, it is still freedom of choice.
You have the choice to have the vaccination and accept the benefits that come with it such as some protection from the virus and the right to dine in at restaurants and work in restricted jobs.
Or, You can decide not to have the vaccination and accept the risks associated with it. Those being the risk of death, not being able to go out to certain venues or work in restricted areas.
The choice is yours.
No one is forcing you into your decision. No one is holding a gun to your head.
Mr. Nicholls made his decision and is standing by it.
