Three people face murder charges after a victim of an assault in September died in hospital.
Chatham-Kent police say on Sept. 21, the victim went into an apartment on Sandys Street in Chatham. A physical struggle took place with two other men and a woman inside the residence.
The victim, police say, sustained life-threatening injuries and was sent to hospital in Windsor.
On Friday, the victim, Beau Veenstra, 31, of Howard Township died in hospital as a result of injuries suffered in the Sept. 21 altercation, police say.
The next day, detectives arrested three people – two Chatham men aged 49 and – and a Chatham woman, 41, and charged them with second-degree murder.
