The search for the body of a missing boater is over.

On Saturday morning, an angler discovered a body in Lake Erie about 12 kilometres southwest of Port Glasgow, east of Chatham-Kent.

OPP and a coast guard auxiliary unit responded.

Police confirmed it was the body of Kenneth Blythe, 57, of Windsor.

He had been missing since Aug. 6 when a small craft he and Robert Thibert, 75, also of Windsor, were in, capsized about 100 yards off Rondeau Provincial Park.

Thibert’s body was recovered on the shoreline that same day.

The search for Blythe finally ended Saturday.

Police say the investigation is continuing.
