Editor: On June 7 at a grocery store payout counter, on discovering I had forgotten my wallet. I phoned my wife to bring it. I apologized to the cashier who informed the people in line behind me of the situation.
A woman, a stranger to me, walked up to the cashier and stated she would pay for my groceries and did so. I informed her that my wife is coming and we can repay her but she walked by without saying a word and left the store.
I would like to repay this very kind, generous and anonymous woman by paying it forward so I am donating $100 to Outreach for Hunger.
To the kind woman, I hope that you see this letter and know how much your kind gesture is appreciated.
