Chatham-Kent’s overall active cases of COVID-19 dipped again slightly today to 32, with number of resolved cases outnumbering new cases.
Monday’s Chatham-Kent Public Health data showed 10 new cases were added, but 14 were resolved, leading to a cumulative drop of four.
However, another person was hospitalized in Chatham with the virus.
Only one active institutional outbreak at the CKHA medicine unit is ongoing.
Local numbers reflected the provincial picture Monday with Ontario reporting 2,170 new cases and 2,953 resolved.
It’s the eighth day in a row new cases are below 3,000 with the seven-day average at 2,352. One month ago, it was about 4,300.
The Ministry of Health has said it wants to see new cases at 1,000 or less before pandemic protocols will be altered.
