Yesterday morning, Chatham-Kent police responded to the report of a gathering at the Old Colony Mennonite Church on Cundle Line in Charing Cross.

When the officer arrived, he observed approximately 50 cars in the parking lot. Upon completion of the church service, several people were observed leaving the church.

A member of the church, a 37-year-old Raleigh Township man, was charged with failing to comply with a continued 7.0.2 order as per Ontario Regulation 364/20, of the Reopening Ontario Act, 2020, section 10(1).

It marked the third time in as many weeks a representative of Mennonite church in Chatham-Kent was charged for a gathering.
