Plate problem

Last night, a Chatham-Kent police officer on general patrol in Blenheim observed a man driving on Chatham Street North. A query of the license plates revealed that they expired in 2017 and were unattached.

A traffic stop was initiated and through investigation, the officer learned that the man did not have a license or insurance for the vehicle.

A 26-year-old Blenheim man was charged with using plates not authorized for the vehicle, operating a motor vehicle without a license and driving a motor vehicle without insurance.

The license plates were seized and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
