Assault at CKHA
Last night, Chatham-Kent police responded to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance to assist staff with a patient in the emergency room.
Through investigation, police learned that the man threatened a nurse and also threatened and assaulted a security guard.
A 27-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested and charged with uttering threats and assault.
Dispute leads to charges
Early yesterday morning, police responded to a disturbance at a residence in Chatham.
Through investigation, police learned that during a verbal argument, the woman was assaulted by her boyfriend.
The woman was also on conditions not to communicate with the man.
A 40-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested and charged with assault causing bodily harm. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
A 28-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and charged with failing to comply with her release conditions.
Drugs found
This morning, around 1:30 a.m. an officer on general patrol in Wallaceburg initiated a traffic stop on Arnold Street.
Through investigation, the woman was found to be in possession of suspected fentanyl and methamphetamine along with cash, scales and debt list.
A 36-year-old Dresden woman was arrested and charged with two counts of possession for the purposes of trafficking.
Collision leads to serious injuries
Yesterday morning around 10:30 a.m. police responded to a three-vehicle collision on Chatham Street South in Blenheim.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that a man was travelling northbound on Chatham Street South when his vehicle collided with an on-coming dump truck and then an SUV.
The collision forced the dump truck to overturn and empty its load of soil into the ditch.
The driver police say is responsible for the collision, a 54-year-old Blenheim man, was transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance with serious injuries. The other two drivers were not physically injured.
