As of Monday morning, Chatham-Kent saw 13 new cases of COVID-19 over the weekend, against 14 more deemed resolved.
This dropped the active case tally below 40, to 39.
Two people remain hospitalized locally with COVID-19.
No schools, places of worship, congregate living facilities or institutions have outbreaks, according to CK Public Health figures. One workplace is still in outbreak.
Public Health personnel have administered 32,664 doses of vaccines to 31,165 individuals.
Provincially, there were 3,510 new active cases across Ontario in the past 24 hours. That drops the seven-day average to below 4,000. Toronto leads the way with more than 1,000 new cases, while Peel Region reported in excess of 900.
Globally, India remains the hot spot for the virus. Nearly 353,000 new cases were reported in a country of 1.3 billion people over the past 24 hours. To date, more than 17 million people in that country have contracted the virus, with five million of them coming this month alone.
