Domestic scuffle

Yesterday afternoon, Chatham-Kent police responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence in Wallaceburg.

Through investigation, police learned that a verbal argument escalated into a physical altercation.

A 28-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman were both arrested and charged with assault.

Booze theft

Last month, a man attended the LCBO on St. Clair Street in Chatham and concealed five 375ml bottles of Wiser’s Old Fashioned whisky in his coat. The man left the store making no attempt to pay for the alcohol.

Through investigation, police identified the man and he was arrested last night. A 24-year-old Chatham man is charged with theft and possession of stolen property.

Warrants 

Yesterday afternoon, a man wanted for domestic related offences attended police headquarters and turned himself in.

A 38-year-old Dover Township man was arrested.

Yesterday afternoon, police arrested a woman in Wallaceburg who was wanted on several outstanding warrants.

A 26-year-old woman was released pending a future court date.
