Teen son charged with assaulting his mom

Yesterday afternoon, Chatham-Kent police responded to a disturbance between family members at a residence in Chatham.

Through investigation, police learned that during a verbal argument, a youth in the home assaulted his mother.

The 15-year-old youth was arrested and charged with assault and assault with a weapon. He was released to another family member pending a future court date.

Another assault

On New Year’s Eve, a woman and her ex-boyfriend got into a verbal argument that escalated into a physical altercation while at a residence in Wallaceburg.

Through investigation, police learned that the woman punched the man.

Last night, a 32-year-old Wallaceburg woman was arrested and charged with assault. She was released pending a future court date.

Truck stolen

Sometime yesterday morning between 6:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. someone stole a black 2007 GMC Sierra pick-up truck from a property on Eds Line in Harwich Twp.

The license plates 878 8FN were previously removed by the owner and placed in the back seat of the truck.

Tools stolen

Sometime between Dec. 29 and Jan. 2, someone entered a building on Fifth Street in Chatham and removed several hand and power tools. Total value of the theft has been estimated at $15,000.
