71 active COVID cases in C-K

Chatham-Kent is up to 71 active cases of COVID-19 as of today, and two long-term care homes have declared outbreaks.

According to CK Public Health officials, tests revealed 19 more people in our municipality tested postitive for COVID-19 Monday, and another six today.

Riverview Gardens, which had an outbreak earlier this month, is back on the list as of Dec. 23. Copper Terrace also reported an outbreak on Christmas Day.

One person remains hospitalized. St. Anne Catholic School in Blenheim and four workplaces are also listed as outbreak locations. The school is empty, and will remain so for weeks, due to the lockdown.
