Chatham-Kent continues to see a steady decline in ongoing cases.
CK Public health reported five more recoveries and no new cases on Wednesday.
Active cases have decreased to nine in the last 24 hours, and the cumulative total sits at 360.
No C-K residents are in hospital due to COVID, according to Public Health.
On Wednesday morning the province reported 88 new cases, mainly from the Toronto, Peel and Ottawa regions. It was the first time in six days that fewer than 100 new cases were announced in Ontario.
Twenty of Ontario’s 34 local public health units reported no new COVID-19 cases, according to provincial data released Wednesday morning. Nine are reporting fewer than five new cases per day.
Southwest Ontario as a whole appears to be coming down from a recent surge in cases.
Sarnia-Lambton sits at four active COVID-19 cases. Windsor-Essex, which two weeks ago was handling more than 200 active cases, sits at 74.
Middlesex-London Health Unit is dealing with 30 ongoing cases and Southwestern Public Health (Oxford- Elgin- St. Thomas) with 24.
