Just staggering around
Around 8:30 a.m. yesterday morning, police responded to the report of a suspicious person walking in and out of traffic on McNaughton Avenue in Wallaceburg.
Officers located the intoxicated man and through investigation determined that he was unable to care for himself. For his own safety, the man was taken into custody and transported to police headquarters.
A 30-year-old Wallaceburg man was charged with being intoxicated in a public place and released when sober.
Fail to comply
On April 18 a man was released from custody with several conditions. One of those conditions stated that he was not to attend the home of a specific woman in Wallaceburg.
Wait for it…
Just before 11 a.m. yesterday morning, police located the man at the residence and he was arrested.
A 52-year-old Wallaceburg man has been charged with failing to comply.
Mischief charges
Around 4 a.m. this morning, an alert citizen called police when he observed a man smash the window to a business on James Street in Wallaceburg.
The man was located a short distance away and taken into custody.
Total damage is estimated at $1,500.
A 28-year-old man of no fixed address has been charged with mischief under $5,000.
Careless driving
Yesterday morning, police responded to a three-vehicle collision on McNaughton Avenue West near Baldoon Road in Chatham.
No one was injured. Total damage was estimated at $5,000.
A 50-year-old Blenheim man was charged with careless driving.
Tools stolen in Wallaceburg
Sometime early yesterday morning, someone forced their way into a shed on Langstaff Line.
Once inside, the suspect(s) stole:
– 2 DeWalt cordless drills
– Milwaukee cordless drill
– Honda pump – gas powered
Total value of the theft has been estimated at $1,000.
