Traffic stop leads to charges

Just before midnight last night, an officer on general patrol initiated a traffic stop on Dufferin Avenue near Bluewater Line near Wallaceburg.

Through investigation, the officer learned that a passenger in the vehicle was out past his curfew.

Kyle Nahdee, 36, of Wallaceburg, was arrested and charged with failing to comply.

Theft from vehicle

Sometime over the weekend, unknown suspect(s) entered an unlocked garage on Thelma Avenue in Chatham and stole the following items from a vehicle parked inside: Mac Book, various tools, Dolce Gabbana sunglasses, and Ray-Ban sunglasses.

Total value of the theft has been estimated at $10,000.

Theft in Wallaceburg

Sometime over the weekend, unknown suspect(s) forced their way into a shed at The Clubhouse at Baldoon on Dufferin Avenue. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole a leaf blower and weed wacker.

Total value of the theft has been estimated at $700.

Fender bender in Blenheim

Yesterday afternoon, police responded to a two-vehicle collision on Jane Street near Chatham Street in Blenheim.

No one was injured.  Total damage was estimated at $5,000.

A 17-year-old Blenheim teen was charged with failing to yield the right of way.
