A 56-year-old Wallaceburg man was transported to Sydenham District Hospital and transferred to Windsor in life-threatening condition on Thursday.
Shortly after 3:30 p.m., emergency crews responded to a three vehicle collision on Murray Street near Base Line.
Through investigation, police learned that a man was driving a pick-up truck on Base Line when he turned onto Murray Street and struck a stopped school bus and another vehicle, both stopped in the opposite turning lane. Luckily, there were no children on the bus at the time of the collision.
The first officers to arrive on scene immediately provided medical attention to the man.

Man Charged with Drinking and Driving
Around 10:30 p.m. last night, police responded to a traffic complaint regarding a possible impaired driver operating a taxi cab.
Officers located the vehicle in Chatham and suspected the man was driving while under the influence of alcohol. A roadside breath test was administered and the man registered a fail. He was arrested and transported to police headquarters for breath tests.
William Gould, 58 years, of Raleigh Street in Chatham has been charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit. He was released pending a future court date of March 25, 2020.

Man Charged with Domestic Related Offences
Yesterday, a man wanted for domestic related offences attended police headquarters and turned himself in.The 40-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with mischief under $5000 and uttering threats. He was released pending a future court date of March 11, 2020.
Man Charged with Assault
Shortly after midnight, police responded to a domestic disturbance at an apartment in Chatham.
Through investigation, police learned that a verbal argument escalated into a physical altercation.
The 23-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with assault. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Man Arrested on Outstanding Warrants
Early this morning, police arrested a man wanted in connection with a shoplifting incident at Shoppers Drug Mart in Chatham and failing to attend court in January.
The 42-year-old Walpole Island man has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Stolen Truck in Chatham
Sometime between Wednesday at 9:00 p.m. and Thursday at 8:30 a.m. unknown suspect(s) stole a green and gray 2004 GMC Sierra pick-up truck from a residence on Oxley Drive. The truck was last seen with Ontario license plates BB42 021.

Theft from Storage Units
Sometime late Wednesday night or early Thursday morning, unknown suspect(s) forced their way into three storage units on Queens Line. Approximately $2000 worth of property was stolen.
