A shoplifting complaint ultimately led to drug charges yesterday in Chatham-Kent.
Police say officers got the call of a theft at the Real Canadian Superstore in Chatham Monday afternoon.
The two suspects fled before the officers arrived, but an officer on general patrol spotted their vehicle, police say, and pulled them over on Smoke Line.
A search upon arrest yielded methamphetamine and hyromorphone.
Two Thamesville residents, a woman, 24, and a man, 62, are charged with theft and drug possession.
