Chatham-Kent police are looking for the driver, and vehicle, that sped off from an attempted traffic stop last night just east of Chatham.
Police say an officer spotted a speeding vehicle last night near the intersection of Longwoods Road and Prince Albert Road. The driver refused to stop when the officer popped on the cruiser’s lights, instead sped away.
The officer chose not to pursue, due to public safety, police say.
The vehicle was last seen headed northbound on Prince Albert. Police say it is a silver Ford Taurus or Fusion, and had no license plates.
